Shot Glass Flight
- The process to create the shot glass flights involves choosing the right wood to start with.
- Once the wood has been choosen, the selected board is planed to the desired thickness, one half inch in this case.
- The work piece is then cut to rough size and brought to the laser.
- The laser will do the personalization on the flight board (logo, names, etc.) and do the final cutting - creating the shape as well as the openings for the glasses.
- Once the workpiece has been removed from the laser the edges are run through the router to give them a nice round over profile.
- The entire flight is then sanded to the desired level.
- Finally multiple coats of the desired finish are sprayed on.
