The process to create the shot glass flights involves choosing the right wood to start with.
Once the wood has been choosen, the selected board is planed to the desired thickness, one half inch in this case.
The work piece is then cut to rough size and brought to the laser.
The laser will do the personalization on the flight board (logo, names, etc.) and do the final cutting - creating the shape as well as the openings for the glasses.
Once the workpiece has been removed from the laser the edges are run through the router to give them a nice round over profile.
The entire flight is then sanded to the desired level.
Finally multiple coats of the desired finish are sprayed on.
